Channel letters are an exciting twist on signage that’s such a to delight to both young and old.
Channel letters are a way to grab people’s attention. They look cool and most of the time they are electric and can be lit up. You can use them for advertising, or you can use them to spell out the name of your store or business. An advantage of having channel letters is that when it’s dark you can light them up and get more exposure than you would from a regular sign.
There are four types of channel letters.
1. Regular channel letters (also referred to as front-lit channel letters) are mounted either on a raceway or a wireway. A raceway is designed to blend in with the wall the letters are mounted on so they look like they are floating in front of the wall. A wireway is like a backboard for your channel letters, and it looks fantastic as well.
2. You can also have a backlit channel letter sign (also referred to as reverse-lit), meaning the letter are lit up from behind. This means the letters aren’t quite as clear to read, but the effect the light has on them looks superb.
3. There is also front and backlit channel letter signs, where the letters are lit up from both sides.
4. Lastly, there are open-face lit channel letters. These ones are cool because the light comes from within the channel letters themselves.
The benefit of having led channel letter signs for your businesses is when they are lit up people can see them in the dark. Custom channel letter signs are also a more unique way of advertising; the 3D effect is more likely to catch people’s attention than a plain old 2D sign would.
